The blue light phones around campus are directly linked to the MUPD dispatch center. If you would like a campus safety officer to walk with you to your on-campus destination, call 573-882-7201. This non-emergency number for MUPD is listed on the back of your student ID.

Receive MU Alerts

MU Alert is the official University of Missouri emergency alert system. Log in to myZou and check your Campus Personal Information to make sure you receive alerts in the event of a campus emergency.

Mizzou Safe is a free app that offers safety features such as text-to-911, push notifications about MU Alerts and location sharing so you can virtually walk home with a friend.

If you’ve paid the student activity fee, you can receive up to two free Uber rides per month from downtown Columbia to your residence.

Register Your Property

When you register your belongings with the MU Police Department, you increase your chances of getting your property back if it’s lost or stolen. You can register any valuable that has a serial number. It’s a quick and easy online process.
